Hostel Le Diablotin
Mural paintings in the main room
Le Diablotin brings back to life an old village café from the 19th century.
The house, located opposite the former chapel of the White Penitents,
belonged to a cooper, also a café owner.
The large room on the ground floor carries traces of its history within its walls, as you can see in the murals dating from 1871-1882.
They disappeared from individual and collective memory after the cafe closed in 1908.
We rediscovered them, under the wallpaper, partially hidden by a cement tank.
